Prices are per SIM per month. Plans are available on 24, 12 or 3 month terms, and the 24-month term has the lowest monthly price. All prices exclude VAT and delivery. For 20 or more SIMs, ask us for a fleet quote.
EV charger SIM cards
An EV charger uses its SIM to talk to its charge point management system, usually over OCPP. That covers status updates, remote monitoring, diagnostics and firmware checks, which need only a small data allowance. A UK-only SIM such as the EE IoT SIM suits most chargers installed in one place.
Vehicle and GPS tracker SIM cards
A tracker sends its location at set intervals. If vehicles stay in the UK, a single-network SIM is often enough. If they cross borders or drive through areas with patchy coverage, a multi-network or roaming SIM keeps them reporting. How much data does an EV charger or tracker use?
Most use well under 500MB a month. The exact amount depends on how often the device reports and whether it downloads firmware updates.
Do I need to set up an APN?
The EE IoT SIM is plug and play, with no APN setup. For other SIMs, we send the APN details with your order.
Can a tracker SIM send text messages?
The EE IoT SIM is text enabled, which some trackers and chargers use for alerts and configuration.
Which SIM is best for trackers that go abroad?
Choose a roaming plan that covers the countries the vehicle visits. The 500MB UK, USA, Mexico and EU SIM and the 500MB Asia-Pacific SIM are built for that.
