A standard SIM stays on one network, so if that network is weak or down where your device sits, you lose the connection. A multi-network SIM can use several networks. It connects to the strongest one available and moves to another if the signal drops. You don't need to swap SIMs or sign up with more than one provider.
A single-network SIM is often cheaper and works well if you have checked coverage at the site and it is strong. Choose multi-network when coverage varies, when the device moves, or when losing the connection costs you money. If you need to reach the device on the same address every time, choose a fixed IP SIM, which also comes in multi-network versions. For unlimited data on one network, see unlimited 5G data SIMs.
Multi-network SIMs are part of our wider range of IoT and M2M SIM cards.

A multi-network SIM is a SIM that can connect to more than one mobile network. It picks the strongest signal available and switches if that network drops, so your device stays online more of the time.
Yes. Multi-network and multi-carrier SIM mean the same thing: one SIM that can use several mobile networks.
No. It can only use networks that reach your location. It helps where one network is weak and another is strong, not where there is no coverage at all.
Some plans include roaming. Depending on the plan, that covers the EU, the USA, North America, or the Middle East and Africa. Check the table above and each plan's coverage before you travel.
It works in any unlocked 4G or 5G router, tablet, laptop or IoT device that accepts a standard SIM and lets you enter APN settings. The device must support 5G for 5G speeds.
